BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
2025 has seen above-average growth for heating businesses
57% of businesses saw a revenue increase of more than 5%, while 19.4% saw more than 15%.

Heavy workloads and time management remain issues for most
Time management and workload were the most frequently cited challenge and frustration with working in the industry.
This is unsurprising given a large portion of business owners report taking less than the standard 20 days of paid leave per year, and over half handle all of the admin-related work themselves.
INDUSTRY TRENDS
Heat pumps are gaining traction, but installs are few and far between
The industry is very evenly split on whether to take up heat pumps as a core service offering. Half have no intentions of getting qualified, while just over a third are considering.
