What should I do with all my old records when I go paperless?
There is no need to digitise all your existing records if you were using paper. You’ll simply have a date in which all records before then are on paper, and all after are on software. After 6 years, all of the records you’re required to keep will then be on software.
Can I add my company logo onto gas certificates made with Gas Engineer Software?
Absolutely. The records you issue to your customers (quotes and invoices as well as all your gas certificates) will have your company’s logo on it. This is important for two reasons:
- It makes your business look more professional
- When customers look back on old records, they have your company details right in front of them.
How are digital records better for customers?

Why is it faster to create records using software?
A big chunk of what you have to fill out on a record or certificate are customer, company, and property details. Can I still issue a certificate if I don’t have internet access at the property?
Yes! The app will simply sync any new data when you next have internet connection. Everything else will work as usual.
How do automated service reminders work?

Whenever you issue a Gas Safety Certificate to a customer, our software knows that in a year’s time they’ll need it renewing. Reminders work on the simple basis of scheduling an email or SMS message a specified time after the date you issued the certificates. Typically, this would be 11 months later, leaving your customers 1 month warning.
